Also this month, drop in for a chance to meet one of makers, STOUTHEART Shave Co.! As one of Ottawa's most hardworking (and best smelling) makers, you won't want to miss Greg Swaine of STOUTHEART Shave Co. doing a grooming demo with his amazing handmade shave soaps and beard oils.

We'll also be burning their new Dash Fire Candles (with crackling wooden wicks!) and celebrating this ambitious young family business. Drop in between noon and 3pm on Sunday, November 13th, and find out why Maker House is proud to wear our STOUTHEART on our sleeve.

It's hard to believe Christmas is less than 8-weeks away, but please don't worry, as we've got your back! On Sat. Nov. 19th make your own DIY chalkboard ornament in-store with Rachelle from Chalkboard Chique.

Visit the store between noon and 4pm to paint your own wooden slice into a handmade ornament which you can then write on! The cost is only $10 and you can drop in anytime from noon to 4pm that day. Check our Instagram for updates and reminders!

Looking for fun with the kids this winter season? Well we've got you covered again! Our youngest entrepreneurs from Maker Junior are hosting another workshop to teach kids the basics of building circuit and we would love for you and your children to join!

Pop by on Sunday, November 20th, to use your imagination to invent a robot that doodles! All the supplies you need will be provided, but how will you put them together? Each registration fee of $30 pays for one adult and one child (5 and up) to attend either the 12:30pm or 2:30pm workshop. Both attendees will be be able to make a project of their own to take home. Last month we announced Parkdale Food Centre(PFC) as our #CraftChange charity partner, and now we start our first food drive!

Starting Nov. 12th we will collect non-perishable food or hygiene goods donated at any time before Christmas in-store. We'll keep track of the pile and let you know your collective impact on Hintonburg's community resource for our neighbours in need.  

On  Thursday. Nov. 24th, we're proud to host the launch of a new print collaboration featuring the Ottawa Champions.

Working with a maker we've stocked since day one, Doug from ManMade Art, come see the beautiful artist's tribute to Ottawa's baseball team and the reigning champs of their league.
