Crystal Pretula is the designer and maker behind Prairie Chick Prints. A city girl who loved spending weekends on the family farm. Gifted with her Dad’s sense of humour and Mom’s love of pretty things. I’ve always loved creating. After beginning her education at the Alberta University of the Arts to become a painter, Crystal quickly fell in love with graphic design! This led her to a Bachelor of Design from the Alberta University of the Arts. As a graphic designer in Calgary, Alberta for 10 years, Crystal had the privilege of working on some amazing corporate projects. After their first child, came many sleepless nights, when Crystal began making her own greeting card designs on Etsy, and Prairie Chick Prints was born! She has since been featured in many publications and awards for her cheeky and charming pencil sets, and more.
