I started my Company in my own home kitchen, now 20 years ago. As a young Chef, I wanted to create a savory/appetizer shortbread cookie. Taking out sugar and adding fine aged Canadian cheddar cheese; I launched Sprucewood appetizer shortbread cookies! No sugar, low carb & tons of flavour!
Pair these fine cookies with soup, charcuterie, cheese, wine and beer - and the, "cocktail cheddar shortbread" was born! My Scottish grandmother was horrified at the concept! Boo Hoo!
