The Lonely Pixel

Lisa Howarth (The Lonely Pixel) makes a world of whimsical, colourful images, from captivating landscapes to humorous animal portraiture.She was born and raised in British Columbia, and has lived in Calgary, Montréal and currently in Nova Scotia, Canada. She has a love for animals & Canadiana, which is shown through her work. Animals that play, dance, become pilots, musicians and dreamers much like you or I. “When I take on an animal portrait project, I imagine their personality and spirit transformed into the Victorian era."

Lisa takes vintage photography prints, colorizing and restoring them using various Photoshop techniques. These techniques have been used as an integral part of her work to help create unique, customized photo-collages of people's pets from around the world.
