Since 2015, he’s poured his energy into growing the shop, supporting artisans across the country, and building a business that does good while doing great. We’re all here thanks to the vision he chased and the community he helped create.

Paulus Helliwell is our Assistant Manager and all‑around team booster. Former café manager, natural leader, shipping wizard, and go‑to problem solver, he helps keep Maker House Co. running smoothly (and keeps the vibes excellent).

Paula is our unstoppable force behind the scenes, wrangling numbers, ordering fan‑favourite goods, and scouting fresh Makers to keep the shop exciting. She’s the mastermind behind our layouts and planograms, the guardian of pricing and inventory, and the quiet engine that keeps our shelves looking their best. She’s also our resident plant whisperer, always ready to identify (or rescue) any of our leafy shop babies.

Emily has turned her love of silly videos, romcoms, reality TV, and books into a full‑blown superpower. As our Community Manager, she brings Canadian‑made magic to social media, growing our channels with creativity, humour, and some truly iconic TikToks. In 2024, she expanded her role to lead our #CraftChange donations, helping connect our community impact with the people who make it possible.

Reed is the digital wizard behind the scenes - if it plugs in, logs in, or mysteriously stops working, he’s probably the one fixing it. He keeps our IT running, builds our newsletters, updates the website, and even sneaks in some graphic design when inspiration strikes. He’s also the voice behind this bio, which is only slightly less weird when written in the third person.
