The copper used for the maple leaf is the original copper which covered the roofs of Canada's Parliament Buildings from 1918 to 1996. Wear these copper earrings proudly! Measures approx. 1 cm.
These copper earrings are stainless steel with either gold or pewter plating.
As these are handmade and made from recycled roofing, unique marks including scratches and dents will appear on the copper of each earring.
Because this item is handcrafted, slight variations are to be expected and admired.
Why don’t they come in red?
We get this question all the time! The rich patina on these pieces comes from decades of natural oxidation while the copper roof covered Canada’s Parliament Buildings for 78 years. Rather than altering this historic material, Under One Roof preserves its authentic character—keeping the same aged copper that has witnessed some of Canada’s most important moments.
