Own a piece of Canadian (and Ottawa) history with this framed piece of roof copper from the Parliament Buildings.
This is the original copper which covered the roofs of Canada's Parliament Buildings from 1918 to 1996.
A piece of history, preserved in copper. Time has left its signature in every mark, creating a naturally formed patina that cannot be reproduced.
Frame measures 8.25" x 8.25", with white matting over a 4" x 4" peice of copper.
As these are handmade and made from recycled roofing, unique marks including scratches and dents will appear on the oxidized copper of each framed peice.
Because this item is handcrafted, slight variations are to be expected and admired.
Made by Under One Roof - a social enterprise in Ottawa, Ontario. Every item was crafted with the participation of persons with developmental disabilities.
