MINI TIPI is a Canadian women-owned company that creates small batch quality goods for your home and family. MINI TIPI was founded in 2016 by Trisha Pitura and Mélanie Bernard, with designs inspired by their proud Canadian and Indigenous heritage.
Kwe is inspired by the beauty and cultural significance of the jingle dance, which symbolizes strength, resilience, and connection. “Kwe”, meaning ‘woman’ in Anishinaabemowin, honors the vital role of women as nurturers, healers, and leaders. The motif is based on the spiritual teachings of the jingle dress, a tradition that has its origins in a vision of healing through dance. Bells, made from metal cones, are considered to carry healing energy, offering prayers for physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional healing. This motif is a powerful tribute to women.
