Product Details

This gift box has been lovingly curated to showcase some of the talented Indigenous makers that we are proud to have in our Maker House family.

Our store in Ottawa is located on traditional unceded territory of the Algonquin-Anishinaabe people. We want to build stronger connections and support our neighbours, both artists and members of Indigenous communities, across Canada and Turtle Island.

Each maker and charity partner was consulted about this project. They even helped us name it proudly the Native Land Gift Box. Inside you will find more information about the featured makers and organizations.

Included in this gift box you will find:

  • Bangin' Bannock Original Dry Mix by Bangin' Bannock
  • Traditional Bison Pemmican Strip - Saskatoon Berry by Mitsoh
  • Dream Catcher - Tan 2" by Monague Native Crafts
  • Blackberry and Sage Soy Candle by Sequoia
  • Medicine Woman Eucalyptus Soap by Sequoia
  • Bear Sticker by artist Ben Houstie/Native Northwest
  • Indigenous Canada Postcard by artist Mervin Windsor/Native Northwest
  • Thunderbird and Orca Notebook by artist Corey Bulpitt/Native Northwest
  • Nitap Chocolate Bar - Dark Chocolate w/ Wild Blueberry by Peace By Chocolate - Profits from Nitap Bars help fund indigenous nitap programming that highlights, celebrates, and helps keep alive important Mi'kmaw community traditions.
  • Moose Hide Campaign Pin from The Moose Hide Campaign

Maker House is proud to donate 100% of sales from this gift box to the Odawa Native Friendship Centre - celebrating over 50 years of dedicated programs and services to the Indigenous community in Ottawa and the surrounding region.

Donations will be made twice a year, on June 21st (National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada) and September 30th (Orange Shirt Day).

Thank you for supporting these incredible Indigenous makers and helping us raise money for these important community organizations!
