You may have seen their purple bikes flowering the streets and bike paths of Ottawa, but there is more that meets the eye with Hintonburg’s Right Bike.
Located down the street from Maker House, Right Bike is an amazing non-profit social enterprise that provides job training to individuals facing barriers to employment. By making cycling and education accessible to all, Right Bike rewards anyone who walks through their doors on McCormick Street and asks for nothing in return.
The association also provides DIY workshops, hosts local events to promote cycling in the city, and runs a highly successful bike share and rental service, which encourages the recycling of our goods.
Creating safe and sustainable cycling in our community is something we care deeply about at Maker House Co. with our store owner Gareth Davies being the proud volunteer President for Bike Ottawa (Citizens for Safe Cycling).
