Reclaimed hockey sticks + vintage license plates

“Composite sticks are crap. What does an extra 20 miles an hour matter when the puck goes 50 feet wide of the net?” -Guy Lafleur
Making bits of Canadiana out of old hockey sticks, vintage license plates, and barnwood, Broken Stick gives a second life to objects normally tossed to the curb. From artwork cut out of Alberta license plates to bottle openers attached to snapped wooden hockey sticks, everything by Broke Stick is crafted from recycled elements unique to the Canadian landscape.
Mike's inspiration for Broken Stick came from his grandfather who taught him the joy of working with his hands and the necessity to "liberate" things from the garbage.
