Cara Rowlands is the founder and sole illustrator behind Carabara Designs, a line of brightly coloured, joyful stationery and novelty goods.
Inspired by her background in animation as well as the Arts and Crafts and Pop Art movements, Cara creates vibrant, high-impact illustrations of food, drink, and nature with nostalgic flair. Hailing from Nova Scotia but currently living just outside Ottawa in Richmond, Cara draws upon her East Coast upbringing and love of travel to capture a unique sense of time and place in each illustration. Cara believes there's no better feeling than seeing someone's eyes light up when they've found the perfect Carabara Designs card for someone they care about.
