"The olden days had better ways"

The Regional Assembly of Text opened in August of 2005.  After graduating from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, Brandy Fedoruk & Rebecca Dolen decided to put their hands & minds to work. The result was a stationery and gift store in the heart of Mount Pleasant, Vancouver BC. In 2013 they opened their second shop in downtown Victoria.

Over the years they have continued to design, assemble and produce a variety of products that they sell in their own stores as well as to other lovely retailers, both in Canada and internationally. Old textbooks, vintage maps, hand written notes and packaging of days gone by inspire them to no end. Every month they host a free Letter Writing Club in their Vancouver store, where friends & strangers alike gather to type out letters on their collection of vintage machines. Their ‘lowercase reading room’, a small nook under thestairs, is also open to the public. It houses thousands of self-published books and is the perfect place to spend a rainy day.
