Product Details
This end-grain butcher block is crafted with form and function in mind. Its distinctive end-grain design doesn’t just keep knives sharp; it keeps eyes wide open with stunning patterns that make this a magnificent showpiece on any kitchen counter.
The “end grain” style of grain orientation provides the following benefits:
- The board will last upwards of 25 years (even more if you take good care of it)
- The fibers of the wood stand vertically. When you slice into the board you are not severing the fibers.
- Due to the “self-healing” aspect of the board, it will look newer for longer.
- The “end grain” style of grain will also give a darker appearance to the wood.
This butcher block comes with convenient juice groove, recess handles, and rubber feet.
Measures approx 15.75" x 11.75" x 1.5".
Upon purchase of your board, it is recommended to thoroughly apply warm mineral oil all over the board. Let the oil penetrate and them remove the surplus. Repeat this treatment every 4-5 times you clean your board. To clean, wash with warm water and a small amount of dish soap, rinse lightly, then dry the board. Use mineral oil to prevent drying, splitting, cracking and to stabilize the board['s physical properties.
Do not soak / immerse in water, put in the dishwasher, leave on a wet surface or store in a humid area.
Do use mineral oil or beeswax paste to prevent drying, splitting, cracking and to stabilize the board's physical properties. Keep away from heat.
