Smokey - Familiar - The Great North
Under a starry sky sitting around a roaring campfire, you share stories and laughs with friends and family.
This hand poured, 100% soy wax candle is excellent for bringing the outdoors indoors.
14 oz
Burn time: 80+ hours
Things to remember: the first burn is the most important! Soy has a memory, so the first burn will set the tone for the rest of its candle life. You want your candle to be off to a good start in life – so remember to allow the wax pool to reach the edge of the glass on the first burn – but don’t let it burn too long. Candles shouldn’t be burned longer than 3-4 hours at a time, the wick should always be trimmed to ¼ inch long between burns, and candles should never be burned near another heat source (yes this includes other candles – keep them at least 6 inches apart!). Oh, and keep that candle on a heat safe surface, away from drafts, children, and pets!

This candle is a sweet blend of freshly baked oatmeal cookies dipped in milk and natural honey.
These large 16oz candles are:
Jar size : 16 oz
Burn time : Approximately 82 hours
Candle Care:
1. before you light, trim your wick!
Make sure you trim the wick to about 1/4" before you light it! Before every light be sure to trim off any excess wick. This helps your candles last longer and helps to keep them from overheating!
2. burn, baby, burn!
When you light your candle, make sure you let it burn until there's a pool of wax all the way across. If you find your candle is tunnelling or otherwise burning unevenly, it's usually because you haven't let the wax pool. Best practice is to extinguish candles after 4 hours of burning to prolong their life.
3. keep it clean!
Keeping your wick trimmed and your burn even should help, but with fire comes soot. We've got one quick tip to keep your jars looking flawless. After your candle has completely cooled, use paper towel with a bit of coconut oil to wipe any soot from the top of your candle jars. Less is more when it comes to the oil!

Wear a piece of Canadian (and Ottawa) history!
The copper used for the maple leaf is the original copper which covered the roofs of Canada's Parliament Buildings from 1918 to 1996. Wear it proudly on your lapel or backpack. Measures approx. 3 cm.
This brooch is available on gold plated or pewter backing.
As these are handmade and made from recycled roofing, unique marks will appear on the copper of each pin.
Why don’t they come in red?
We get this question all the time! The rich patina on these pieces comes from decades of natural oxidation while the copper roof covered Canada’s Parliament Buildings for 78 years. Rather than altering this historic material, Under One Roof preserves its authentic character—keeping the same aged copper that has witnessed some of Canada’s most important moments. That means no artificial colouring, just genuine history in every piece. Enjoy this one-of-a-kind connection to Canada’s past!
Because this item is handcrafted, slight variations are to be expected and admired.

The elusive House Hippo has been one of the most desired creatures for Canadian kids since the early 1990's and now you can finally own one!
House Hippos are notoriously shy and nocturnal and are good at taking care of themselves. They love to munch on potato chips (because who doesn't?) and forage for crumbs and bits of dropped food. Keeping cozy is a top priority so they tend to build themselves little nests made up of lint, fuzzy scraps and odd socks. In the wild hippos are notoriously aggressive but House Hippos are docile around humans. When placed on a bedside table they make excellent defenders against anything that makes strange sounds at night.
Confident Beginner and recommend it for ages 12 and up. Each kit envelope contains step-by-step photo illustrated instructions, paper pattern pieces, colour info care card, sheets of wool blend felt, pair of 7mm safety eyes, embroidery floss, needle and pins.
Stuffing is not included as the finished piece is easy to stuff using scraps of felt or fabric cut into small bits, cotton balls as well as traditional stuffing. It also helps keep the shipping cost much lower as it can travel Canada Post letter mail.
Not recommended for small children.
Finished Size: approx. 5" x 3" (13cm x 8cm)
