As a traditional First Nations food, Pemmican has been a staple for indigenous people for centuries. Making Pemmican is a time-honored tradition passed down through generations. The process involves drying and pounding meat, mixing in berries for sweetness and antioxidants, and adding rendered fat for preservation and energy.
The whole food ingredients are simple: Bison, Blueberries, Pure Maple Syrup, Sea Salt and Pepper. That’s it! It also contains 6g of protein per 23g serving.
*MITSOH means ‘eat’ in the Cree Nehiyaw language.
